The firm O.M.M. Officine Meccaniche Mingarelli a.r.l., based in Ceccano (Fr) boasts a thirty-year experience. It is specialized in industrial engineering design, construction, assembly, review and service, chiefly in aeronautiscs and railway engineering.

Thanks to the experience in the field of aeronautics, gained over the years, the O.M.M. a.r.l. determines today to market itself with a product of itsown, new and futuristic: the M7 "SERVATOR". This is a microlight side-by-side two-seater aircraft; its advanced aeronautical technology makes it especially suitable for the monitoring and defense of the territory, for civil defense or fire prevention purposes and any other operation requiring the utmost visibility (also vertically when flying wings level) ,
such as farm level activities and recognition services carried out by police forces or forest ranger, environmental control, seashore surveillance and patrol or coastguard, fishing control, photogrammatric record, volcano monitoring and any other activity requiring this kind of visibility.

 

These features are prerogative and strong point of the M7 "SERVATOR", marking it by its excellent visibility (similar to the one of a helicopter) and by a high comfort of the interior, favoured by the engine rear installation and by the relatively held down dimensions of the wings: the small windspan reduces the aircraft's exposure to air turbulence. To achieve all that, the O.M.M. OFFICINE MECCANICHE MINGARELLI commissioned the development of a new wing profile, expressly designed for the M7 "SERVATOR", in order to conciliate the modest dimensions of the wing and a low stall speed: the bearing cantilever wing remains the M7 "SERVATOR" strong point; it is set up with "VG1-13X" wing profile, constant-chord, torsion resistant. The "VG1-13X" wing profile has been expressly created, designed and tested by Prof. Vincenzo Giordano, at the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II. In order to assure a perfect efficiency, several tests in the department's wind tunnel were made, up to the achievement of the prearranged goal.
